Why though? Why do we feel the need to control everything? I guess fear, right? Our instinctive nature to want security. Which is necessary for survival but, at what point is it that we've gone too far. Pushing limits for mere luxury. Causing devastation, to animals, to other humans, and even ourselves for comfortability and status.
Honestly, I think it's all most people live for now. An idea of materialistic things beyond our needs. All of which will never satisfy us. We work because we need to but we slave because we're ignorant. Most people will spend most of their lives working, literally like 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, 50 weeks a year.. you get my point. You'll spend the majority of your time working, not because you have to but because you want to live in grandeur. However, who can blame you. Thats the society we are being born into, the conditionings that are being passed down. Thus we remain ignorant.
We wonder why we have essential crises every month. We wonder why we suffer from anxiety and depression. We wonder why, even after making six figures or maybe even millions, that we remain unfulfilled. Still, despite all that we go though, we thrive, right?
Theres a reality we need to wake up to. The reality that is we aren't truly living. Alive but not living. We've allowed ourselves to become enslaved for luxury. We no longer live in harmony with plants, animals and/or each other. In fact, it's completely the opposite. We are the infamous zombies of the oh-so-popular zombie apocalypse. Zombies forever bound to their obsession of "braaaaiinnss" we however, are slaves for our thirst of "MORE!" More of anything and everything. The virus that is our avariciousness, and our prey the earth.
We no longer value, valuable things. Blind to the beauty of nature. Obtuse to the purity of the born body. Ignorant to others emotions. Immune to the epidemic that is our greed.
We have become no more than a parasite.
